Miami, Fla. – Florida National University picks up two home wins over the Lions of FMU
Game One – FNU 7, FMU 3
In the bottom of the 1st, G.Hay & K. Sunga stole home to score two runs for the conquistadors. The Conquistadors answered again putting five runs on the board in the bottom of the 2nd by stealing home and a grand slam by G. Hay. The Lions would score three runs, one homer but would not be enough to tie up the game.
Gabryella Hay pitched 7.0 innings giving up 6 hits.
Game Two – FNU 8, FMU 1
The Conquistadors defeat Florida Memorial University in game two as they got things started in the bottom of the second scoring one run, adding runs in the 3rd, 4th, & 5th. The Lions would score one run in the 4th. With a final score of 8-1.
Gabryella Hay pitched 6.0 innings taking the Win and giving up 3 hits. Jona Goolsby gets the save.
The Conquistador’s overall record moves to 24-11.
FNU will travel to Jacksonville, Fla to face the Tigers of Edward Waters University on Wednesday, April 13.
