Florida National University strives to meet the educational needs of Doral High School students.

Standing as a leader for promoting higher education in South Florida, Florida National University (FNU) has partnered with Toys for Kids Miami Foundation (TKM) to expand opportunities for post-secondary education to 12th grade students enrolled in public high schools in Doral. Honoring the mission statements of both organizations, the TKM scholarship aims to recognize students for their educational achievements.
Enhancing the list of scholarships that FNU currently offers, the university is particularly jubilant to commence their newest scholarship as a result of their recent joint venture with the City of Doral.
“Florida National University is very proud to partner with the City of Doral and the Toys for Kids Miami Foundation in providing an opportunity for Doral high school graduates to pursue a post-secondary degree,” said José Alonso, FNU Social Media/Marketing Specialist.
Committed to making a connection with local communities, FNU is taking their initiative a step further by visiting all applicable high schools across Doral to educate students about the benefits of this scholarship. Both organizations want students to be prepared as possible so no one’s chances are compromised during the application process.
“This scholarship is a great opportunity for Doral students to reach their goal of obtaining a college degree,” said Mr. Manuel Abaunza, Media Director for Toys for Kids Miami.
Prospective applicants are required to comply with Florida National University’s standards for scholarship application in order to be considered. Complete applications are then submitted to Toys for Kids Miami Foundation for consideration.

TKM Mission Statement
Toys for Kids Miami is committed to helping end the cycle of poverty in local communities through works of charities aimed at helping children succeed in life. We collaborate with higher educational institutions [among others Florida National University (FNU)], with the purpose of setting up scholarship funds to help 12th grade students who are currently studying but would not be able to attend such institutions without financial aid.
