Marcos Molina enters his second year at Florida National University after serving for many years as a successful high school boys basketball head coach, college assistant coach, prep and cub coach. Over the past decade Coach Molina served as the physical fitness instructor and held basketball coaching positions at such schools as Coral Gables High School, Miami Palmetto High School, Miami Christian School, and Hialeah Gardens High School.
During his time as a high school coach he saw many successes, highlighted by a pair of FHSAA Boys Basketball State Championships. In 2011-12 Coach Molina led Hialeah Gardens High School to the Class 8A State Championship, and in 2014-15 he led Miami Christian to the Class 2A State Championship. In addition to high school coaching, Molina also served as an assistant coach at local Barry University in the 2013-14 school year.
Molina resides in Miami with his son Marcos who plays basketball for Miami-Dade College.
