Baseball Falls in Series Finale at Thomas

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (March 14, 2021) – The Florida National baseball team (5-14) dropped the series finale at Thomas (9-15) on Sunday, 16-6 (7 innings).

The Night Hawks used 12 unanswered runs over the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to hand the Conquistadors the 10-run loss.

Manuel Blanco drove in three runs while going 2-for-3 form the dish, including a home run. Francisco Perez De Leon was also responsible for three runs hitting 1-for-4 with a double versus TU.

In all, FNU amassed 12 hits, including multiple-hit games by Blanco, Daniel Moreno (2-for-3), Carlos Cartaya (2-for-3), Jasiel Perez (2-for-4), and Simon Dalmau (2-for-4).

Brandon Torres (0-3) suffered the loss, allowing six runs on six hits in four innings of action.

The Conquistadors will take on the St. Thomas Bobcats in a doubleheader this coming Friday, March 19. First pitch is set for 4:00 p
