JACKSONVILLE, Fla. ( Sept. 23, 2022) – Florida National’s first tie of the 2022 season came against the Tiger of Edward Waters in Jacksonville, Florida. The 1-1 draw came on the Tigers’ senior day and featured the first goal of the season for Casia Kennedy.
FNU’s first half was highlighted by aggressive offensive play that ultimately culminated in Casia Kennedy’s first goal of the season on an assist from Delmis Reyes Amaya. The Conquistadors had seven shots for the half along with four blocked Tiger shots.
In the second half, FNU continued to shoot at the net, completing seven shots and only drawing offsides on two occasions. Unfortunately, the Tigers came roaring back and scored the equalizing goal in the second half of the game.
