Florida National University Receives Certificate of Appreciation from the City of Hialeah

Hialeah, Florida – July 4, 2012 – On Wednesday, July 4, 2012 Florida National University (FNU) was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by City of Hialeah Mayor Carlos Hernandez. Mr. Troy Wright, Corporate Education Liaison, Ms. Lourdes Andreu, Comptroller, and Mr. Joseph Forton, Director of Admissions for Florida National University accepted the award on behalf of the University and Mrs. Maria Regueiro, the University’s President and CEO. The award ceremony took place during the City of Hialeah’s Independence Day Celebration at Milander Park in Hialeah.

Florida National University sponsored the Celebration which started at 6:00 P.M. and ended at 10:00 P.M. During the celebration, FNU maintained a tent where they distributed marketing materials promoting Florida National University’s programs, tote bags, miniature fans mugs and glow sticks to the people attending the event. The glow sticks, bearing FNU’s logo, were used during the laser light show which started at 9:00 P.M. After the dazzling laser light show, the crowd of more 10,000 was treated to a spectacular fireworks display.

Prior to the awards ceremony and show, attendees were entertained with live music by Carlos Olivia Y Los Sobrinos del Juez. Children attending the celebration were able play on interactive inflatables, try out cool games and just have plain fun in the Kids Zone. Food vendors from the community sold food and beverages to all who attended.
