HIALEAH, Fla. (Nov. 8, 2023) – Florida National University’s men’s soccer team is back in familiar territory as the No. 14 team in the nation following the NAIA’s latest and final Men’s Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 ratings.

The last time FNU was ranked 14th was in late September as they recently held the No. 12 spot for three straight weeks. Missouri Valley College took over the Conquistadors’ coveted spot at No. 12 after FNU suffered its second loss of the year on Nov. 2.

Florida National was outperformed by the NCAA DII Barry University Buccaneers 3-0. Barry came into the contest ranked No. 19 in the nation and the regular season champion of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC). Uncharacteristic mistakes from FNU on the defensive end allowed Barry to get ahead early and forced FNU’s final regular season contest to end in a shutout loss.

While FNU stands at No. 14, St. Thomas University remains at No. 3 while Mid-America Christian University still towers over the competition ranked No. 1. Notably, St. Thomas looks to capture another Sun Conference title with a win over No. 11 Keiser University on November 10 in Miami Gardens, Fla.

FNU’s quest for redemption and Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) glory begins tomorrow with a highly-anticipated semifinal match against Georgia Gwinnett College at 5 p.m. in Lawrenceville, Ga.
