BOCA RATON, Fla. (April 13, 2024) – Florida National University’s women’s tennis team (3-12) tackled its final Sun Conference opponent for the 2024 season, falling 4-0 to the No. 2 Keiser University Seahawks (14-4). The competition was stout in Boca Raton, Fla., as Keiser posted two impressive doubles wins and a stellar singles performance to ice out FNU at home in Patch Reef Park. 

Doubles wins from Violet Apisah and Patricia Apisah and Yeva Kononovych and Isabella Perez Flores put Keiser over the top to start the match. Chiara Fiorenza and Karyna Krykunenko had their match versus Vanja Vidanovic and Florencia Araya remain unfinished at 5-3.

In singles play, FNU’s Krykunenko fell 6-0 in both sets before Celeste Deniz Reyes lost 6-0 and 6-3 opposite Yeva Kononovych. Simone was the next FNU player to miss the mark, dropping her match to Perez Flores 6-3, 6-2.
