HIALEAH, FLA. – Florida National University (FNU) is pleased to announce The COVID-19 ESL Scholarship, a scholarship aimed at helping individuals that need to polish their English skills to become more marketable.
FNU intends to support individuals that need to improve their English (ESL) skills and who qualify for a full Pell-grant to attend the ESL program for the FALL 2020 Semester.
Students who receive the maximum Pell Grant award will not need to pay any additional tuition. Students who do not qualify for the maximum Pell Grant award will only be responsible for paying the difference between the Pell Grant award and the maximum Pell Grant amount.
“Whether it’s donating to charity organizations or putting on events to bring awareness to issues affecting many, FNU has always made it a point to give back to our local community,” said Dr. Maria Regueiro, Florida National University President and C.E.O. “This initiative is no different. FNU is proud to be in a position to help any way we can during these difficult times.”
