HIALEAH, Fla. (Nov. 15, 2023) – Florida National’s men’s soccer team dominated the 2023 Continental Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer All-Conference Team with eight players making the short list of honorees. Defender and last year’s Newcomer of the Year Ricardo Delwing continues to impress his competitors in the CAC and earned his first Player of the Year award in his sophomore season.
The Estrela, Brazil, native posted five goals and an assist so far this season en route to this highly coveted CAC honor. Along with Player of the Year, Delwing earned a CAC First-Team selection with teammates Francisco Crimi, Bautista Dominguez and Vinicius Mallmann.
FNU had three players land a spot on CAC’s Second Team All-Conference list. Marcos Bakale, Juan Pugin, and Juan Manuel Fermoselle highlighted a stacked list of CAC talent on the Second Team, while midfielder Tomas Barrancos earned an Honorable Mention.
The Conquistadors Champion of Character was captain and senior midfielder, Mallmann.
