HIALEAH, Fla. (Feb. 26, 2024) – Florida National University fell short of the mark at the Fortnite Builds Open Qualifier three. FNU needed 40 points coming into the contest to make it to the finals but was unable to accomplish that goal on Feb. 26, 2024.

In rounds one and two, Jorge Monsalve Benitez played his way to four kills and scored four placement points with partner Erick Pinedo Murgas. FNU’s opponents played heavily for placement points, with 35 players in the final circles.

Monsalve Benitez and Pinedo Murgas placed 20th out of 74 in the individual A-D group and finished 59th out of 148 out of the total schools.

FNU Fortnite will return for the Zero Build Qualifiers starting March 24.
