HIALEAH, Fla. ( Oct. 27, 2023) – Florida National University’s newest sport is putting its competition on notice, as the Conquistadors picked up a 2-0 victory in its second week of competition. FNU defeated the Dega LofL from Talladega College on Oct. 24 but was forced to forfeit a match versus Truman State University on Oct. 27.

FNU’s victory came in part thanks to stellar play in round one. The Conquistadors captured all but one Drake and earned a dominant 27-10 win in the first. Breakout stars, Luis Quinones and Paul Perez were excellent in Mid Lane and Jungle. 

In FNU’s 33-7 win in round two, Caio Alves and Gabriel Colvara Neves won out in the bot lane for their first respective wins this season.

Up Next: FNU eSports is back in action on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. for a battle against Highland Community College.
