MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. ( Sept. 23, 2023) – Florida National University’s cross country teams managed to impress at their third meet of the 2023, hosted by St. Thomas University. The Conquistador women’s squad finished fourth out of four teams in the 5K, while the men’s team ended the morning third out of four in the 8K.

The reigning Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Runner of the Week Kristian Bodden led the charge for the FNU men’s team, ending the meet in fourth place with a time of 27:45.9 in the 8K. Notably, Bodden’s time was the fifth fastest time in the 8K in school history. Leon Kipkoech was the second-fastest finisher for FNU, clocking in at 29:28.6 for an 11th-place finish. 

On the women’s side, Christina Adams ended the morning second out of 28 runners in the 5k with a time of 20:55.1. Daryl Quichimbo came in 13th with a time of 22:25.2 and Hassell Zeledon secured the 20th spot with a time of 23:43.4.
