HIALEAH, Fla. (April 8, 2024) – Florida National University’s eSports team executed a masterful performance at the Zero Builds Fortnite Open Qualifier Two on April 6. The Conquistadors placed 54th out of 130 and are in the running for a spot in the finals.

Match one saw Erick Murgas score elimination points with partner Jorge Monsalve Benitez. FNU’s dynamic pair ended the round in 17th place and gained a total of two points as a result. In rounds two and four, FNU did not finish with any elimination or placement points.

Despite the slight slump in the middle and tail end of the competition, Monsalve Benitez and Murgas placed 7th after scoring 11 placement points in match three. FNU ended the competition with 15 placement points and looks to carry this momentum to its final qualifier in one week’s time.
