HIALEAH, FL. – FNU Lady Conquistadors scored three goals and kept a clean sheet against TBC Eagles on Friday afternoon at Ted Hendricks Stadium. The Lady Conquistadors posted their first shutout this season.
FNU’s women’s soccer team improved to 1-2-0 their record of this starting season.
With an inspired day of D’Yolanda Pineda, the senior lady conquistador leads the win with three goals, her first collegiate hat trick, the Lady conquistadors did a great job with effective defense and smashing attacks during the game.
With a very organized and effective strategy of coach Giovanni De La Rosa, the squad got their first W of the season with a promising road to come.
First half was owned by D’Yolanda Pineda who scored the three goals at minutes 14, 24 and 42 creating space for herself and shoot successfully inside TBC’s keeper, Pineda managed to eliminate any chance of the opposing team to recover.
The team was very compact in the back eliminating all spaces that TBC attackers could use to create against the Lady Conquistadors, with a very useful midfield the ball was well distributed to forwards to do their job which was successfully done at first half and maintained order to keep clean sheets in the game.
Lady Conquistadors will face Saint Thomas University’s women soccer team on September 4th expecting to repeat the excellent job they did last Friday.
