HIALEAH, Fla. (Feb. 19, 2024) – Florida National University’s Kaylee Llanos took home her first Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Player of the Week award after a 24-point performance against the University of Fort Lauderdale Eagles. FNU routed UFTL 82-52 at Bucky Dent Park in FNU’s regular-season finale.

Llanos was electric off the bench for FNU, shooting 9-20 from the field in the victory. Her consistency on the floor is a major factor in FNU’s eight-game winning streak that started in early January.

“Playing a key reserve role has earned Florida National University sophomore Kaylee Llanos honors as the Continental Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week,” the CAC’s release said.

Llanos played 33 minutes and buried six 3-point field goals while shooting 45% from behind the arc, in the 82-52 triumph. The Hialeah, Florida, native also recorded three assists and two rebounds in the game.”
