Men’s soccer scores second highest number of 2023 Daktronics NAIA Men’s Soccer Scholar-Athletes. (Nov. 24, 2023)

HIALEAH, Fla. (Nov. 24, 2023) – Florida National University had a whopping 23 student-athletes named 2023 Daktronics NAIA Men’s Soccer Scholar-Athletes following an impressive season on and off the field. FNU tied St. Thomas University for the second most honorees for 2023 while Morningside University topped all institutions with 27 Scholar-Athletes.

Last year, FNU had the third most honorees in the NAIA with 17.

“The 2023 list features 1032 student-athletes, spread across 156 institutions, who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution,” the NAIA’s release said.

“In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.”
