Softball picks up pair of road wins over Ave Maria

Miami, Fla. – Your Conquistadors started things off early in the match with a single run scored by Arianna Spinacchia at the very beginning of the first doubleheader. FNU softball team posted then four runs in the third inning as it cruised to its next win by a run rule and 11-0 margin over Ave Maria University Wednesday afternoon.

The Conquistadors will not allow any runs in the first game of the double header. The Gyrenes did manage to get some hits close for a scoring opportunity.

The Conquistadors exploded for five runs in the top of the fifth inning providing a three-run blast to the center to key the offensive surge by Senior Gabryella Hay who drove in a double with an RBI triple.

Pitcher/outfielder Kyra Sunga would secure a final run for the conquistadors.

Game 2
FNU got things started once again in the first inning after one hit and securing two runs.

Gyrenes would score on an error by your conquistadors.

After that solo run for the Ave Maria Gyrenes its all FNU Softball after that.

Yleisha Perez would score in the 2nd inning after teammate Arianna Spinnachia would single to center field.

Gabriela Obando would score on a wild pitch thrown. score now 4-1

The conquistadors would score again in the 6th and 7th inning on a passball and error by the Gyrenes of Ave Maria.

The final inning is where your FNU softball team turns it up a notch to score 4 runs on 3 hits with an error by Ave maria’s first base, a sacrifice fly and triple to conclude the scoring for your conquistadors.
