HIALEAH, Fla. (March 14, 2024) – Florida National University’s Jullie Ruiz Paneto, Janelisse Marty Marrero, and Adalis Arroyo were selected as United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) 2023-24 All-Americans. Ruiz Paneto was the lone Conquistador chosen as a First Team All-American, while Marty Marrero and Arroyo were Second Team selections.
“The USCAA has announced its All-American and individual End of the Year award winners for Women’s and Men’s Basketball,” the USCAA said in its release.“The ceremony was held at the Virginia State Multipurpose Center on Saturday afternoon.”
Guards Marty Marrero and Paneto are the backbone of FNU’s backcourt. Marty Marrero averaged 16.2 points for the Conquistadors this season and Ruiz Paneto posted 22.7 a contest. Ruiz Paneto also recorded 6.3 boards and five steals in 14 games.
