WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 13, 2024) – Florida National University’s track and field teams cracked the top ten team scores at the Keiser University Twilight Invitational in West Palm Beach, Fla. The Conquistador men’s squad placed 6th out of 10 teams, while the women landed in 7th place in a field of 10. The opposing teams included Ave Maria University, Warner University, Webber International University and St. Thomas University. NCAA DII standouts Barry University and Nova Southeastern also made an appearance.

FNU’s Ivan Rodriguez recorded the third best high jump of the evening at 1.97M. His triple jump of 14.18M earned him a second place finish. Notably, Trevor Moonin completed the 200M race with a time of 22.51, grabbing the 6th place spot. Michael Carrasco Rodriguez also had a solid showing in the 100M, clocking in at 11.26 and finishing 5th. 

On the women’s side of the competition, Miel Johnson collected the 5th, 3rd and 6th spot in the women’s shot put, discus and javelin throws, respectively. Christina Adams’ time of 4:58.55 in the 1500M stood up to some tough competition and landed her in 6th. Furthermore, Joelle Baptiste ended the evening in 6th and 8th place in the women’s 400M and 200M, respectively.
