Florida National University is a long standing member of the Service members Opportunity College (SOC) and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, baccalaureate, and master degrees.
Florida National University has been providing specialized educational opportunities for Marines and/or their spouses online and/or in our South Florida campus locations.
Florida National University accommodates the unique lifestyle of Marines and their spouses whose location, relocation and time constrains make traditional college attendance difficult, if not impossible. Our academic degree programs follow SOC DNC Student Agreements and the programs allow the Service members to engage on a degree accredited program wherever the Marines may be stationed at.
First-time students must complete a TA Orientation Class PRIOR to using TA. Marines at remote sites (non-Marine Corps installations) may access the course by clicking on the TA Orientation link above. All others please proceed to your local base Lifelong Learning or Education Services Office.
Marines must apply for and receive written authorization for the use of TA PRIOR to enrollment through their respective education office.
TA requests for Marines assigned to remote locations and those assigned to other service branches’ sites are processed at Camp LeJeune/Cherry Point for those East of the Mississippi and Camp Pendleton for those West of the Mississippi. I-I duty Marines apply through MARFORRES, New Orleans. Recruiters apply via their respective recruiting district or region headquarters.
