HIALEAH, Fla. (April 22, 2024) – Florida National University’s freshman pitcher Sophia White took home the Continental Athletic Conference (CAC) Softball Pitcher of the Week following a 1-1 record from the circle. White allowed one run through 13 innings, losing 1-0 to the Webber International University Warriors.
“White, the Pitcher of the Week, went 1-1 inside the pitching circle and allowed just one run across 13 innings.” said the CAC’s release.
“The Jupiter Farms, Florida, native posted a 0.54 earned run average and tallied five strikeouts. She scattered six hits in a shutout against New College of Florida as the Conquistadors completed a doubleheader sweep last Friday.”
White and FNU finish out the regular season with home doubleheaders versus St. Thomas University and the University of Fort Lauderdale starting April 23.
