MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. ( Aug. 31, 2022) – Florida National University’s women’s soccer team fell short of their first victory this season, losing to (RV) St. Thomas 4-0 on the road. St. Thomas came into the contest with two victories under their belt and plenty of experience on the pitch in this young season.

The Bobcats scored first at the 12-minute mark on a goal from Sarolta Oppelland. Around two minutes later, teammate Karina Medina found the back of the net to make the score 2-0.

Late in the second-period Bobcats’ Medina and Miranda Ferradaz scored one goal a piece to close out the match.

FNU goalie Vanessa Osorio ended the match with 18 saves. Dominique Mosley lead the way for the Conquistadors with two shots, one of which was on goal.

Up Next: The Conquistadors look to put this loss in the rearview mirror as they prepare to take on Barry University on the road September 7. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
