HIALEAH, Fla. ( Sept. 10, 2022) – For the third straight game, The Conquistadors found themselves putting up an impressive effort yet falling short of the victory late in the game. The Barons of Brewton-Parker notched their first victory of the season, defeating FNU 2-1. Brewton-Parker improves to 1-3-0 as the Conquistadors fall to 0-3-0.
The Barons found the back of the net early getting on the board with a goal from Meghan Parker in the 11-minute. The Conquistadors got close to evening the contest on an impressive shot from Amaya Delmis Reyes skidded over the top of the crossbar in what would have been the perfect shot.
Meghan Parker once again scored a goal for the Barons in the 79-minute, but FNU answered back with its first goal of the season coming from Mickaela Calisto in the 80-minute from distance.
The Barrons held on to the victory despite Calisto’s magic on the pitch.
