HIALEAH, Fla. (March 20, 2024) – Florida National University’s women’s tennis team (2-7) is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Women’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Ratings. FNU faced a tough slate in 2024, taking on top NCAA DII schools ahead of a very competitive Sun Conference schedule to close out the regular season.

FNU got its first win of the 2024 season, defeating then-ranked No. 18 Ave Maria University Gyrenes. In doubles play, FNU suffered losses from FNU pair Nadia Abad and Vanessa Simone 6-2 and Celeste Deniz Reyes and Natalia Calvo 0-6. In singles play, FNU posted four crucial wins to secure the match.

Recently, FNU’s women also landed a 4-3 win over Hillsdale College on March 12. FNU posted four singles wins from Abad, Simone, Deniz Reyes and Fiorenza.
