HIALEAH, Fla. (Sept. 25, 2023) – Florida National University’s Christina Adams is once again the Continental Athletic Conference’s (CAC) Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week, following the Conquistadors’ time at the St. Thomas University College Meet.
The Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, native ran 20:55.1 in the 5K and ended the morning in second place. “Adams, the Women’s Runner of the Week, covered the St. Thomas University Meet’s 5-kilometer course in 20:55.1,” the CAC’s press release said. ”She placed second among runners in the event.”
The last time Adams received this award was on Sept. 5 when the junior ran the eighth-fastest performance in school history at the Florida Atlantic University Invitational, clocking in at 20:27.8 in the 5k to place 51st.
Adams and FNU are back in action on Oct. 7 at the Ave Maria Invitational starting at 7:40 a.m.
