HIALEAH, Fla. ( Aug. 28, 2023) – Florida National’s veteran goalkeeper Juan Manuel Fermoselle earned the Continental Athletic Conference’s (CAC) Defensive Player of the Week award.
The Tucuman, Argentina, native was essential to FNU’s 2-1 win over the Florida Memorial Lions and stood tough under a constant and strong offensive push from the No. 11 St. Thomas University Bobcats.
“Manuel Fermoselle, the Defensive Player of the Week, excelled as goalkeeper in two matches for the nationally-ranked Conquistadors. He made two saves in a 2-1 season-opening victory at Florida Memorial University on August 20,” said the CAC’s press release for their weekly awards.
