Volleyball Closes Out Season with 3-1 Win Over Webber International

MIAMI, Fla. (April 9, 2021) – The Florida National volleyball team (9-8) closed out the 2020-2021 season with a 3-1 (25-13, 22-25, 25-16, 25-19) over the Webber International Warriors (6-14) on Friday night.

The Conquistadors jumped out to a 1-0 lead, taking the first set 25-13. FNU held WIU to -.238 hitting percentage, forcing the Warriors to make seven hitting errors. Webber responded, winning the second set, 25-22. But FNU took both the third and fourth sets (25-16, 25-19) to take the match, 3-1.

The Conquistadors were led by Joanne Dania, who posted a match-high 20 kills on a .386 hitting percentage. Ariana Long also reached double-figures in kills with 13 to go along with 13 digs for one of two double-doubles for FNU in the match. Gabriela Hernandez notched the other double-double, posting 37 assists and registering 22 digs.

With the win, FNU finished the 2020-2021 season with a 9-8 record.
