Kyler Grotz

Kyler Grotz is the first Esports head coach in Florida National University’s history and enters his first year at the helm of the program with over two years of experience in the field of competitive electronic gaming. 

Before joining FNU in the summer of 2023, Grotz was an Esports competitor specializing in Overwatch for the Florida Southern College Mocs. Notably, Grotz participated in and won competitions against Texas A&M and Baldwin Wallace. He also worked as a research intern for the Sports and Fitness Industry Association. 

Grotz graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Florida Southern with a minor in Esports Management in 2023. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Florida Southern in Esports Management. 

A native of Augusta, Ga., Grotz resides in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
